We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst to support the European software development team.

The European software development team is responsible for the development and ongoing ownership of software solutions supporting the European business. This includes MS Azure cloud web applications and integration solutions based on the .NET technology stack, serving internal employees and external customers.


This position will be part of the EU App Dev Shared services team and will be responsible for evolving the Business Analysis strategy by coaching other Business Analysts in the following areas:

  • Discovery
  • Development
  • Interpretation
  • Review
  • Validation
  • Documentation
  • Maintenance of business and functional requirements

You will also be responsible for researching, identifying, and recommending options to business requests. This involves presenting information and responding to questions related to the business standards.

This position requires you to have strong communication skills and be an effective team player who has a genuine can-do attitude and is willing to articulate their opinion with an eye for detail. You will assume the role of a Scrum Master to facilitate ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint retros and sprint demos, etc. In addition, you will also be participating in acceptance testing, identifying potential problems that may arise with enhancements and communicate how that may affect the business. Other responsibilities include writing business correspondence, technical reports and assisting team with investigation of support issues.

This role serves as the primary interface between colleagues in Product Management, our customer/business partners, and Global IT to meet the needs of our business and the European IT department.


  • Strong knowledge of software development processes
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring other Business Analysts individually or as a group
  • Experience of using standard business analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience working in Agile project teams (e.g., Scrum / Kanban)
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills tailored to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Tools such as Visual Studio, Azure DEVOps
  • Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Some knowledge of SQL server databases
  • Understanding of Azure PaaS

This is a permanent role and the role can be performed remotely from any UK location. If remote working is chosen, the successful candidate will be expected to travel to Egham office at own expense approximately once a quarter in addition to any specific events as agreed in advance. The office is in Egham, Surrey, TW20 9FB.
